Delhi High Court suspends Kuldeep Singh Sengar’s life sentence in the 2017 Unnao rape case and grants him bail while his appeal is pending. The court barred him from entering within 5 km of the victim’s Delhi residence and directed him not to threaten her or her mother.

Hours after the order, the survivor, her mother, and activist Yogita Bhayana staged a protest at India Gate, which Delhi Police later forcefully removed them from the protest site.
