Suzlon Energy jumps; to raise Rs 100 bn via listing arm on LSE

Suzlon Energy, the world's fifth largest wind turbine supplier, jumped on Monday after media reports quoted that the company is planning to raise nearly Rs 100 billion by listing its German arm on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

The company is planning to sell shares in its German subsidiary Senvion SE (erstwhile RE Power) to raise Rs 100 billionby listing it on the LSE, reports added.Shares ofthe companyare trading at Rs 11.03, up Rs 1.14, or 11.53% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday at 11:55 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 11.35 and low of Rs 10.35. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 3,292,318.In the earlier session, the shares rose 2.81%, or Rs 0.27, at Rs 9.89. Currently, the stock is trading down 26.95% from its 52-week high of Rs 15.10 and above 92.83% over the 52-week low of Rs 5.72.
