‘Mission 30 Days’, the special programme of the City Police to make the capital more safe, has turned the Karamana Junction into a clean spot. The bus stop adjacent to the fish market was remaining filthy for long owing to careless waste dumping by vendors.

The police, who set up a dumping yard in the market, have asked the vendors to refrain from throwing away the waste. The City Corporation also joined the police in the initiative. The sanitation workers of the Corporation removed wastes in the area and cleaned the bus stop and the surroundings of the market.

Thampanoor Circle-Inspector V Santhosh Kumar and Karamana sub-inspector C Mohanan led the programme.
