Former Chief Minister and KJP President B S Yeddyurappa has ruled out going back to BJP at any cost. He was speaking to reporters during the party’s dharna being staged demanding the State government to extend the Bidai scheme to brides of all sections of the society.

“Some BJP leaders are trying to create confusion. I am once again making clear it that I have no intention of joining BJP. Those who are making efforts to do so(to get him back to BJP) must stop their efforts. I am going to reveal my final decision at the right time,” he said.

Yeddyurappa said since he had already quit BJP and the question of he going back to it does not arise.

“I am thankful to those BJP leaders who are making efforts in this regard. My immediate priority is to strengthen the KJP for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. Our candidates will be contesting to 10-12 Lok Sabha constituencies. My wish is to only have an alliance with the BJP, but not the merger of the KJP with it,” he clarified.

Yeddyurappa said he has no information about former State BJP unit president and MLC B B Shivappa writing to BJP National President Rajnath Singh in this regard. Shivappa is a senior leader and he is indebted to him for the love and affection.

“My immediate priority is to ensure victory of KJP in as many constituencies as possible. I have decided not  to comment about any party at least till the next Lok Sabha election,” he said.

He ruled out calling off the day and night dharna till Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announces the extension of the ‘Bidai’ scheme to brides of all other communities.
