The death toll in the northeast Delhi riots over the amended citizenship law continued to rise on Thursday and has reached 35. The dead include two policemen.
There was also fresh controversy over Wednesday's late-night notification that moved Justice Muralidhar, the judge hearing the Delhi violence case, to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Slamming the Centre, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said the move was 'shocking', while former Congress president Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter to 'remind' people about Justice Loya.
Sonia Gandhi-led Congress delegation met President Ram Nath Kovind to discuss Delhi violence.

Delhi High Court gives Centre time till April 13 (4 weeks) to file counter-affidavit to plea seeking FIR against BJP leaders for hate speeches.
Delhi Police, through the Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, told the High Court that in a conscious decision, they have decided not to file an FIR for hate speech against anyone at this stage as it won't help in restoring peace and normalcy in the national capital. Delhi Police also informed the HC that they have filed 48 FIRs in the violence case.
Nobody has right to take law into their hands. The government should ensure peace is restored in riot-hit areas in Delhi, PTI quotes RSS general secretary Suresh 'Bhaiyyaji' Joshi as saying.
