‘Vadra’s involvement forced Antony to back Aranmula airport project’

CPM leader M M Mani has alleged that Defence Minister A K Antony  is favouring the Aranmula airport project owing to the involvement of Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra.

Addressing the land protection agitation organised by the CPM-led Karshaka Sangham at Aranmula on Thursday, M M Mani said that Union Ministers A K Antony and Vayalar Ravi were against the proposed project initially. But, they changed their stand later.

He also said that the people of Aranmula are not ready to abandon their land for the project. Babu Koyikalethu presided over the meeting K Anandagopan, R Unnikrishna Pillai, Raju Abraham MLA, R Ajayakumar, Omallur Sankaran, K C Rajagopalan, K P Udayabhanu, R Sanalkumar, A Padmakumar, T K G Nair, K M Gopi and P S Mohan spoke.
