Asian markets gain in early trade

Asian stock markets are trading higher on Monday. Japan's benchmark index, Nikkei 225 fell 154.55 points or 1.01 percent to trade at 15,215.71.While China's benchmark index, Shanghai Composite fell 2.30 points or 0.11 percent to trade at 2,056.77. The index has registered a high of 2,061.82 and a low of 2,054.24 after opening at 2,057.77 (10:33pm EDT).Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 9.16 points or 0.04 percent to trade at 23,463.95. The index has seen a high of 23,498.35 and a low of 23,434.55 after opening at 23,484.53 (10:30pm EST).Singapore's Straits Times rose 5.05 points or 0.15 percent to trade at 3,315.58. The index has seen a high of 3,320.35 and a low of 3,312.40 after opening at 3,313.83 (10:28pm EDT).South Korea's KOSPI gained 4.38 points or 0.22 percent to trade at 2,023.80. The index has witnessed a high of 2,030.61 and a low of 2,023.54 after opening at 2,028.02 (10:48pm EDT).Taiwan's TAIEX rose 70.47 points or 0.75 percent to trade at 9,471.44. The index has registered a high of 9,480.14 and a low of 9,450.99 after opening at 9,453.78 (10:27pm EDT).
