Most Asian markets end higher

Most Asian markets settled higher on Friday as investors prepared for the US Federal Reserve's decision next week.

Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225 went up 61.29 points, or 0.40% to close at 15,403.11. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index increased 27.84 points, or 0.12% to close at 23,245.96.

Taiwan's Taiex index went up 15.61 points, or 0.19% to settle at 8,376.96. Singapore's Straits Times index rose 4.85 points, or 0.16% to close at 3,063.89.

On the other hand, China's Shanghai Composite index fell 6.72 points, or 0.31% to settle at 2,196.08. South Korea's Kospi index went down 5.02 points, or 0.26% to end at 1,962.91.
