Most Asian markets settled higher on Friday as investors
prepared for the US Federal Reserve's decision next week.
Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225 went up 61.29 points, or
0.40% to close at 15,403.11. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index increased
27.84 points, or 0.12% to close at 23,245.96.
Taiwan's Taiex index went up 15.61 points, or 0.19% to settle at
8,376.96. Singapore's Straits Times index rose 4.85 points, or
0.16% to close at 3,063.89.
On the other hand, China's Shanghai Composite index fell 6.72
points, or 0.31% to settle at 2,196.08. South Korea's Kospi index
went down 5.02 points, or 0.26% to end at 1,962.91.
