Describing the recent business conclave held in Coimbatore by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah as a drama enacted to retain his post after the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, Minister P Thangamani on Saturday said no industrialist in Coimbatore and Tirupur would go to Karnataka due to insufficient power supply and non-availability of sufficient lands.

Responding to the allegation of Puthiya Thamizhagam president K Krishnasamy that the industrial houses in Tamil Nadu had been heading towards Karnataka, the Minister said TN had been a prosperous State where industrial peace prevails and all basic amenities are available.  The Minister said during the past two and half years investments of `26,550 crore had come to TN thanks to the maintenance of law and order.  Besides 17 MoUs had been signed for establishing new units.
