Southern Railway defeated AG’s Office 3-0 in the St Joseph’s–CFA Senior Divisio League at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Monday. After a goalless first half, Rajesh gave S Railway the lead in the 52nd minute. Sirajuddeen made it 2-0 in the 78th minute. M Sivarajan put the issue beyond doubt with three minutes remaining for the full whistle. Sirajuddeen was named Man of the Match. In another match, D Bharathiraja’s strike in the 85th minute helped Chennai Customs hold Arrows FC 3-3. Morgan Justice (17th, 22nd, 62nd) scored a hat-trick for Arrows, while U Jaya Kumar (7th, 72nd) netted a brace for Customs.

Maaruthi CRACKS Double CENTURY

V Maaruthi Raghav’s unbeaten double century (203 no; 340b, 15x4, 3x6) enabled Tamil Nadu ‘A’ to take a lead of 200 runs over Odisha ‘A’ in the  CK Nayudu Trophy  Elite Group ‘B’ match at Gurunanank College grounds. TN were 493 for 8 at stumps.
