Canara Bank gains after tier-II bonds issuance

Canara Bank gained on Thursday after the bond committee decided to raise additional capital of Rs 10 billion through issue of basel-III complaint tier-II bonds. The bank has received reaffirmation of rating 'AAA / stable from CRISIL & confirmation of rating 'AAA (hyb)' from ICRA for the proposed issue of the said bonds.

Shares of the company declined Rs 6.8, or 2.76%, to settle at Rs 239.35. The total volume of shares traded was 168,936 at the BSE (Thursday).

The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 246.70 and low of Rs 238.55. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 168,936.In the earlier session, the shares declined 0.49%, or Rs 1.2, at Rs 246.15.Currently, the stock is trading down 47.57% from its 52-week high of Rs 456.50 and above 26.04% over the 52-week low of Rs 189.90.
