Canara Bank gains on tier-II bonds issuance

Canara Bank, the public sector lender, gained on Friday after the bond committee decided to raise additional capital of Rs 10 billion through issue of basel-III complaint tier-II bonds. Shares of the bank are trading at Rs 242.30, up Rs 2.95, or 1.23% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 10:52 a.m.The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 243.70 and low of Rs 241. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 34,410.In the earlier session, the shares declined 2.76%, or Rs 6.8, at Rs 239.35. Currently, the stock is trading down 46.92% from its 52-week high of Rs 456.50 and above 27.59% over the 52-week low of Rs 189.90.
