Gold futures down 0.4% to Rs 28,448; silver falls 0.3%

Domestic gold and silverfutures are trading lower in noon trade on Wednesday. In India, June 2014 gold futures at the MCX were trading down 0.44% at Rs 28,448 per 10 grams at 1.33 p.m. It opened at Rs 28,520.

May 2014 silver futures at the MCX were trading down 0.28% at Rs 42,171 per 1 kg after hitting high of Rs 42,266. It opened at Rs 42,259.

In global markets, gold futures for May 2014 went up 0.12% at USD 1301.6 per troy ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.

However, Comex silver futures for May 2014 was up 0.26% at USD 19.53 per troy ounce (1.32 p.m.).
