Freedom Fighter H S Doreswamy on Monday asked people to “defeat the parties which have become puppets in the hands of private players and elect Aam Admi Party candidates for proper representation in the parliament.”

He was speaking at a protest organsied by People’s Campaign For Right To Water-Karnataka’s (PCRWK) signature campaign on ‘Namma Neeru’, a movement against privatisation and  commercialisation of water. M R Prabhakar, PCRWK State Convenor, said the Union government has already given responsibility of supplying drinking water in select wards in  Bangalore, Gulbarga, Mysore, Hubli, Dharwad and Belgaum to a French Company on pilot basis.  “We will expose this entire idea of looting people and gather more than one lakh signature from public in this month-long campaign, that will end on February 13. A memorandum will be presented to the CM.”
