With a rugged rhythm in his gait Krishna charms the charismatic Vijayalakshmi in their upcoming flick Katradhu Kalavu. He speaks about his film, punctuality and emerging out of shadows.

I went to St. Bedes Anglo Indian higher Secondary school in Chennai. School life was unforgettable. My brother Vishnu and I were famous for our dancing skills. Actor Vaibhav also went to school with me. Music Director Yuvan Shankar Raja was my junior in School. I was a very good athlete too. After my graduation from Loyola College, I went on to do my MBA (Finance) in the US. My mother wanted me to finish my studies before I take the plunge and I obliged her.

First Take

I don’t even remember my age when I faced the camera for Mani Ratnam’s Anjali. I might have been 10 or 12 years old.

Being Vishnu
Vardhan’s Brother

Vishnu is a reputed director but I was still a stand-alone when I entered the Industry. I get access to lot of people because of Vishnu. But I also get sidelined from potential projects because they tend to tag me as the brother of a “Big, popular director”.

What’s on the Radar

I just finished Katradhu Kalavu, its due for release. I am listening to interesting scripts from many directors.

Single and ready to Mingle

Am single at the moment But I am always looking (laughs). I want a well-educated and independent woman as my life partner.

The Goal

I am a script driven actor. When I did Ali Baba, few of them discouraged me saying that I shouldn’t attempt such scripts at the very beginning of my career. But I still did it because I loved the script. I want to be known as a good actor.
