The Spa at Shangri-La, Delhi

With 20,000 sq ft of space to work with, there is little that The Spa at Shangri-la’s Eros Hotel does not have. There’s a unisex salon, gym, open-air pool, two wet rooms for steam, sauna and jacuzzi, and five treatment rooms offering the usual gamut of massage therapies, facials and body treatments. For sybarites who move in twos, there’s a couple massage room which allows you to chat over chilled champagne as your flesh is pummelled and your muscles de-knotted. Muted music wafts through the wood-panelled spaces, and is complemented by the subdued lighting.

Shangri-La Journey: It begins with a 30-minute, full body papaya scrub. This is followed by an old-school Swedish massage, which “works on the muscles and key meridian lines” to eliminate toxins and reduce tension. The session lasts an hour. Next on the agenda are a 30-minute ‘Chakra head, neck and shoulder’ massage and a ‘Cleopatra bath’. The bath soothes dry and irritated skin and it’s a huge hit.

Duration: 120 minutes, Price: Rs 6,000 (Shangri-La Journey), Rs 2,000
