A retired employee of BEML died under mysterious circumstances in a lodge in Sagar on Monday. Kasturi Rangan (72) of Bangalore, was found dead while his wife Rama is battling for life at a local hospital there.

Kasturi Rangan, his wife and son Naganandan , all residents of Koramangala in Bangalore, checked into the room at 11 am on Monday morning. On Tuesday morning, the room boy found Rama lying in a pool of blood. She was rushed to hospital.

Kasturi Rangan was allegedly strangled. Naganandan is absconding. According to sources, the family was facing a financial crunch. A can of kerosene and sleeping tablets were also found in the room. Naganandan, who had quit his job in a software company in Chennai, was hunting for job. They had left home two days ago.
