Student police cadets on a cleaning spree

As part of the Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations in the city, Student Police Cadets(SPC) conducted cleaning drives and awareness classes at various public places in the city. The district-level inauguration of the programmes was conducted by Kochi Range Police IG K Padmakumar at the KSRTC bus stand here. A total of 100 cadets from Darul-uloom school, St Albert’s HS and ACS English School participated in the event. Ernakulam YMCA along with cadets from the GGHSS conducted a cleaning drive and planted tree saplings at the Vytilla Mobility Hub. This was inaugurated by Excise Minister K Babu. SPCs of Vennala GHS also participated. In addition to this, a cleaning drive was conducted by cadets at the T r i p u n i t h u r a T a l u k hospital,in which cadets from Chambakkara St GeorgeHS and Venketeswara HS, Thripunithura. SPCs from EMG HS, Fort Kochi and GHS, Puthenthodu, conducted a cleaning drive on Fort Kochi beach. Meanwhile, members of Rotary Club of Fort Kochi and Mythri Group observed Gandhi Jayanthi on Wednesday by cleaning the Government Hospital at Karuvelippadi. The children’s ward was specially cleaned. The Kerala Police Association in the city also organised a cleaning drive. Its members cleaned Tripunithura Puthiyakavu Ayurveda MCH and premises.
