Rights Panel Directive on Stray Dog Menace

The State Human Rights Commission has asked the government to appraise of the measures taken by it to check the stray dog menace.

The Chief Secretary and LSG Principal Secretary should report the steps taken to sterilise stray dogs and prevent rabies, Commission chairman Justice J B Koshy said in an order on Thursday. The Corporation secretaries of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kochi and Kozhikode should also submit action-taken report before February 26.
