West Bengal recorded 16.54% voter turnout till 9 am followed by Uttar Pradesh at 12.33%. However, poor polling activity was witnessed in Odisha and Haryana.
IMD warned of major damage to thatched houses, uprooting of trees, disruption of traffic due to water-logging and asked fishermen not to venture into sea.
