Weigh a 100 kg and watch a movie for free! Heavyweights who plan to queue up for the very first show of Ashiq Abu’s latest flick ‘Daa Thadiyaa’ on Friday will be handed a ticket free; provided they weigh 100 kg or more.

The ‘well-padded’ who plan to make use of the opportunity have been asked to report one hour in advance at select theatres for a weigh-in. Weighing machines will be provided at 15 of the theatres where the movie is being released on Friday.

The offer is available only for the very first show - the 11.15 am one - of the movie and that too in select theatres, the film’s director Ashiq Abu said.

‘’Since the movie itself is named ‘Daa Thadiyaa’ we thought why not offer the heavy guys a weightage? As the name suggests, the film also deals with such a topic,’’ he said.

In Thiruvananthapuram, ‘Daa Thadiyaa’ is being released in Sree and Kalabhavan and in Ernakulam, at Savitha.

The film, produced under the banner of OPM Cinemas, stars Shekhar Menon and Sreenath Bhasi. The script is by Abhilash Nair, Dileesh Nair and Shyam Pushkaran.
