Army begins recruitment drive, 11 TN districts to participate

Recruitment rally conducted by the Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore, began at the Nehru Stadium here on Wednesday. Officials in charge stated that candidates from 11 districts of Tamil Nadu would attend the recruitment drive, which will continue till November 14.

On the first day about 2,000 candidates underwent certificate verification.

A release issued by the recruiting office stated that the drive was being conducted to select candidates for categories including defence security corps, soldier general and technical duty and soldier nursing assistant. On the second day of the rally physical tests for previously screened candidates will be done.

The director of recruiting, Army Recruiting Office, Coimbatore, stated that interested candidates should be present at the rally site at 5.30 am with required certificates and other documents.
