Sulking UP Minister Mohammad Azam Khan made Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to come to his doorsteps and talk to him on several issues including the failure of the state government in preventing the communal carnage in Muzaffarnagar.

Khan had virtually revolted by refusing to attend the Cabinet meetings and party functions including the two-day national executive meeting that concluded in Agra on Thursday. SP leaders were busy in damage- control operations to hide the absence of Khan and save the image of the SP government by maintaining that it is  not against the Muslims and would address the grievances of the community.

Khan has not been gelling well with Akhilesh and the communal riots fuelled his anger further as he criticised his own government for its failure. Apart from Khan, a number of Muslim outfits also demanded the dismissal of the Akhilesh Govt.
