Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has demanded ‘justice’ to the people of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions and that their concerns be addressed properly before the state is divided.

Two days ahead of his proposed Atma Gourava Yatra in Seemandhra, Naidu told reporters here on Thursday that there were concerns among Seemandhra people about water, jobs, education, sharing of revenue and Hyderabad. Justice should be done to Seemandhra, he demanded.

Clarifying that his tour was not for political mileage, he said it was intended to support the Seemandhra people and resolve their issues.

Asked if he would face any problems in the face of Samaikya movement in Seemandhra, he said: “you should not imagine. I held discussions with my leaders. I will go to people and fight for them. If justice is done to all the people, then every one will accept division of the state.”

But Naidu’s main focus during the yatra on the nexus between YSRC and Congress in Seemandhra, like he exposed the nexus between the Congress and TRS in Telangana region.

“Digvijay Singh said that the DNA of YSRC and Congress is the same. While issuing a statement on division, Digvijay Singh stated that the TRS would be merged with Congress,” Naidu said.

He said that the recent surveys stated that the Congress would not win seats in the state and divided the state for its own political mileage. “If the CWC decision is for the people and took the decision after discussing with all the stakeholders it is good. But, the decision is taken with an eye on the elections. Congress created rift between Telugus,”  Naidu alleged.

He said that there was no single day in TDP’s nine-year rule that the state observed strike. But the Congress pushed the state into a situation that no single day was left without a strike and agitation. Once the Telangana agitation was over, now the Seemandhra people were on roads, Naidu said held Congress responsible for the same.

Quoting the Srikrishna Committee report, Naidu said that the present uncertainty in the state would end when people of any region did not feel that they were either winners or losers. He alleged that the Congress announced its decision without proper homework or exercise.

He recalled that the YSRC, in its letter stated that the Centre had every right to divide the state without taking the opinions of the state government. “Now, the same YSRCP is throwing blame on us. The YSRC connived with the Congress for granting bail to Jagan.” On the contrary, the TDP wanted the Centre to take a decision on Telangana but wanted equitable justice to Seemandhra, he said.
