Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to Perform at IIFA Event in US

Popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will take centre-stage during the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Magic of the Movies and Technical Awards event to be held here next month.

Rahat, the nephew of legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, is popular both in India and Pakistan. His songs - "Sajda", "Teri ore", "O re piya" and "Jiya dhadak dhadak" are a hit with fans on both sides of the border.

Apart from his performance, the Magic of the Movies and Technical Awards, one of the four major events to be held as part of the four-day IIFA gala this year, will see names like Pritam, Farhan Akhtar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Shruti Hassan regaling their fans.

Also joining in will be Bhoomi Trivedi, Monali Thakur, Ravi Drums and Ankit Tiwari.

Sensing the excitement as the IIFA gala makes its US debut this year, the organisers have announced a selection of tickets opening up for IIFA Magic of the Movies and Technical Awards to be held on the third day of the Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend at The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

IIFA Magic of the Movies and Technical Awards will be a night of music, dance and awards, with performances from Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Farhan, Bipasha Basu and a special musical act by Pritam.

The show will be hosted by Bollywood's 'Nawab' Saif Ali Khan and actor-comedian Vir Das.

Tickets for the same will go on sale on www.ticketmaster.com Saturday.
