The Paravur police registered a case against a grandmother relating to the burns suffered by her grandson. The mother of the one-year old child had filed a complaint alleging that the grandmother  caused the burns with a hot knife.

The child, named Arshad, son of Siyad and Fousiya of Thaha Manzil at Chakkantazhikam in Paravur North, had suffered minor burns in his thighs.

However, Siyad and the grandmother, named Aseera, denied the charge and said the burns were caused after the child accidentally touched the hot silencer of Siyad’s two-wheeler. Paravur Police have registered a case under the Juvenile Justice Act and started investigation.
